Bobby Axelrod nick name “Axe” played by Damien Lewis is one of the two main characters of the series,he’s the billionaire you wanna be. Axe is a self made billionaire hedge fund manager who came from nothing and rose to the top of the New York elite because of one defining factor,he’s a MACHINE when it comes to making money. Axe is ruthless when it comes to business and doesn’t bat an eye lid if people lose their, jobs homes or livelihoods due to his actions. It’s all about the 2 things for Axe, money and power! He represents the kind of guy Jeremy Corbyn and Bernie sanders supporters despise, they would call him a “fat cat”. People like us however see Axe as an Entrepreneur and we probably see Corbyn/Sanders supports as bitter, leftie, loonies who are resentful of successful people. Axe has a chip on his shoulder due to his poor upbringing and shows this by never wearing tie! He’s the kind of risk taker you admire and the series of you hate to love. Cocky,no nonsense, foulmouthed, super rich and outright rude are describes Axe in a few words. We love him for all that, and he is definitely the number one reason to watch the series.

Chuck played by Paul Giamatti is the other main character for the billions tv series,he is the antithesis of Axe. Charles Rhoades is his full name and he is the very powerful United State’s Attorney for Southern New York, one of the only four US attorneys in each American state. So when Chuck brings legal action, it’s actually the entire US federal govt coming after you! Chuck is driven by one thing,Power! He is monster when it comes for fighting cases in court and he approaches his job just as ruthlessly as Axe does. Unlike Axe though chuck comes from wealthy family and is product of private school education. Chuck is the American version of a patrician because of his wealthy family and lofty position within the American establishment due his post as the US attorney. So you can see why money is not what drives him,his ambitions are for higher public office rather than being higher on the Forbes rich list. Chuck is tactical, strategic, ruthless and power hungry, just the kind of guy you admire. Even though Axe is probably the main guy for you in this series,Chuck is pretty cool too.

5. The battle between Axe and Chuck
Even though Axe and Chuck are on opposite sides they are pretty much the same kind of guy. So when they go at after each other it’s all out war. They will do anything to get one over on each other regardless of toll it takes on the people around them. Axe and Chuck are sharks, they are both kings among predators and this makes them worthy opponents. The fact that they are so alike makes it difficult to see who the good guy and bad guy is between them. Their war forces them to confront conflicts of interest in both their professional and personal lives. The way they cuss each other the few times they ever meet face to face is priceless!
